Fair Dealing Situations

 Case One- Research

If a student decided to not give credit to someone's work that is automatically a copyright, this is a big offence to not give credit, but as long as you are using the work for research and give the credit the work will not be considered an unfair dealing.

  Case Two-Education

If the work is a certain type of work, 10% of the of the work may be copied for educational use.

   Case Three-Criticism

When given a research assignment, the student may copy 10% of the work, and can include sentences within the work, as long as the authors name is mentioned somewhere throughout the work.

    Case Four- Private Study

For private study the same rules apply as research, only 10% of the work can be copied and the authors name must be mentioned somewhere in the work.
